Mid-Mod Flip

Scrolling through FaceBook marketplace, I spotted these gems and knew instantly my plan for these pieces.

A little farmhouse and a little Mid-Mod with a touch of class.  Neutral color scheme was a must with a hint of raw wood.  My favorite part of refurbishing is discovering beautiful hardwood.  Many times, I get my hopes up and the wood underneath isn’t worthy of showcasing.  However, on these pieces, they were!! And so the work began.

These Table Bases Were A Little too eccentric for my taste. we ripped them off and considered what legs would accent the design concept I was envisioning.

The wood underneath was in great shape and the finished product was amazing.

Next, the taping began.  I had to protect my precious wood before the priming and painting.

I sampled a few paint colors before I settled on a soft neutral…then sanded them back down.   I decided on gold hardware to compliment the farmhouse feel.

First was a coat of primer to hide the unsightly blue, then i applied the top coat. “Wish” by Benjamin Moore turned out so well!

Finally, I attached the mid-mod legs that I found on amazon. the final result was a complete transformation!!
